The Seller warrants that the Puppy listed is a purebred German shepherd that will be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club and has been sold as "Pet Quality".
Seller agrees that the Puppy is in good health and has received appropriate medical vaccinations and worming as follows: attached Vaccination Record
The Purchaser is advised to take this puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase for a health check. If the purchasers’ veterinarian determines the puppy to be of poor health or have structural defects (excluding umbilical hernia, undescended testicles, off bites) – the purchaser may return the puppy to the seller for refund. (Travel expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser also the puppy must be returned in the same condition and health or the seller’s warranty is void - a signed statement from the examining veterinarian is required). The purchaser agrees to take good and proper care of this puppy and the puppy will reside at the home of the purchaser.
The dog will be given adequate shade and housing, has access to a secure exercise area (yard), and will be properly and sufficiently fed. The dog will receive proper veterinary care throughout its lifetime, including annual (or as recommended) vaccinations to ensure preventative health care. He shall not be allowed to run loose in the purchaser’s community, nor shall be kept chained or tied up. The dog is never to be transported in the back of an open pickup truck or mistreated or abused. Under terms of this contract, the seller has the right to investigate the care of this puppy if circumstances warrant. If it is proven that the Dog is the subject to any abuse or mistreatment not limited to the above concerns, where the dog’s health or life may be threatened, the seller has the right to take possession of the dog and all warranties are then void. Purchaser agrees that the purchaser is not acting as an agent in the purchase of this puppy. Purchaser also agrees that this dog shall not be sold by or through any commercial broker or wholesale establishment, any chain store, catalog sales house, pet store or "Puppy mill" Purchaser guarantees the Seller the right of first refusal if the dog is to be sold or disposed of in any way.
1. The puppy is warranted to be free of hip and elbow dysplasia.
* No Puppy can be guaranteed for never having a hip dysplasia condition - however, every step has been made to ensure that the parents and bloodlines reflect a strong OFA / OVC background. The puppy would be replaced should the occurrence of a serious hip or elbow dysplasia condition be evident by the age of one-year old subject to the conditions below.
2. Seller will refund the total purchase price for any health / temperament reason within 72 hours.
3. Seller will replace the puppy should the dog be diagnosed with any serious hereditary defect that will affect the dog’s quality of life for a period of one year. (Excluding umbilical hernia, undescended testicle and Panosteitis).
4. Temperament – The temperament of the puppy is not warranted after 72 hours as the way the puppy is raised and the environment it resides in is out of control of the seller.
FURTHER CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
All the above may be subject to verification by the veterinarian of the Seller’s choice. All warranties are void if the dog has ever been bred, or sold, or has been subject to trauma which could have a marked effect on the claimed condition. This warranty does not cover costs of health checks, treatments or surgeries. Purchaser agrees to maintain preventative care of the puppy regarding hip and elbow dysplasia such as proper nutrition, exercise, and preventing stress injuries (ex. Not allowing young puppies to jump from heights taller than itself at the shoulder and no FORCED EXERCISING, especially running and jumping, until at least 18 months of age.) Seller agrees to be accessible to answer any questions and will provide support to the best of the Sellers ability. If a replacement puppy is to be provided. The Seller reserves the right to have the original dog returned and the choice of the replacement puppy to be at the discretion of the Seller and be available within two calendar years. Any travel / shipping costs to be the purchasers’ responsibility.
Seller reserves the right to refund the purchase price.
THE PURCHASER HAS READ AND UNDERSTANDS THE FOREGOING AND AGREES THAT ALL PARTS AND PORTIONS THEREOF CONSTITUTES A BINDING AGREEMENT. NO PART OF THIS CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT IS TRANSFERABLE. FURTHER, SIGNATURES BELOW ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF A COPY OF THIS CONTRACT BY THE PURCHASER.
